Michael joined Creative State in October 2008 as Director of Interactive Strategy. Michael brings over a dozen year of experience in the interactive industry from growing and building his own small shop to his most recent position as Director of Interactive Strategy and Creative at Winnercomm in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
"I'm a user experience guy. That's never going to change. The technology changes. The needs of people... humans... doesn't really change. Our job is to facilitate connections. Not just practically. I don't mean, just connect people to information. I mean like really connect people. Help people connect with a message or a story... it might take the form of a brand or an article or even another person. But none of this is new. Web 2.0 or whatever... for a couple thousand years we've been coming up with ways to connect people... to tell stories... to get a message out... to build an experience. I don't care about the technology so much, I care about what people feel and then do."
Beyond the broad spectrum of user experience, Michael has considerable expertise in the areas of Information Architecture, Content and User Management, Creative, and Social/Community web. His main interest outside work is in playing his saxophone.
"I had a band called Jazzcow for several years. Yes, Jazz... Cow... I liked to describe it as part jazz, part cow. That never helped. But yeah, music is my outlet. It's the creative stuff I do just because I love it. I never have been able to put that horn down".
Creative State is happy to have Michael on the team. He can be reached at 918.585.9311 x227 or mstaub@creativestate.com.
"Great! Thanks so much. Everyone LOVES how it looks. You have no idea how great it is to work with a company that knows how to meet deadlines and gets it right the first time."
